course Modules

Participatory solid waste management and governance with the inclusion of waste pickers for a sustainable and just society

The course comprises six modules with 52 class hours per module (13 weeks) and a field visit in
each module. The contents of all modules are built collaboratively with representatives of the
waste pickers. The first module has been successfully conducted twice up to this point.

Introduction

All themes raised during the research and two workshops by the waste pickers. Module 1 is an introduction to the full course.

Module 02

Waste Picking

History of the waste pickers movement, waste pickers as social subjects, political education, social exclusion, gender issues, social movements, etc.
